Hawkesbury Kelpies donates pup to help out Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation

HE’S just a friendly little Kelpie pup with lovely brown eyes, but he is set to make a huge difference.
Twelve-week-old Hawkesbury Finley is already showing interest in sheep, and according to Kelpie breeders Anthony Attard and Jenny Sant, he is a very special pup.

The couple from Hawkesbury Working Kelpie Stud, Prunevale, are donating Finley to be auctioned at the Sydney Royal Show to raise funds for Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation.

After a very traumatic time in my families lives several years ago. I felt that I was given an insight and understanding of the difficulties that people from all areas face every day when trying to navigate around hospitals and the available facilities.

For the last 4 years I have tried to get Friendly Faces Helping Hands up and going and I have looked at all avenues for assistance. Finally my husband and I decided to just do it and fund everything to get this information site up and going and helping people. We now have a site running and launched it on the 25th of June 2010 with around 40 hospitals researched. We still have to research all other hospitals in Australia and get them on the website.

The launch was a wonderful day and within a week we already had over 300 hits to the site. My mission was to help 1 person to be successful I feel FFHH may have already helped 100s. Friendly Face Helping Hands has turned  another corner. In January 2011 we became a foundation and we now have a board of Directors who help direct and guide Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation to bigger and better milestones.

Along with the website is a phone support advocacy to assist those who do not have computer access or are not computer literate. These people can just callthe Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation hotline and receive the information they will be requiring eg: accommodation, parking and supermarkets, therefore assisting them with the information.

The next step of Friendly Face Helping Hands Foundation is to get kits out to all the Doctors surgeries, Health facilities and Hospitals. NSW will be the first state followed by Qld and the rest of the states until Australia is covered. These kits have a flyer, business card and a short outline on what FFHH is and can offer. Each kit costs $2.00 to manufacture.

The Foundation has been chipping away at the costs but we foresee that we need at least 25,000 just for NSW and this is such a huge cost for this foundation. Sponsorship, funding or advertising on the FFHH site will allow the information to be the best information for people to help and assist them in their trying time. I would also like to have the time and money to negotiate better services and prices for rural people.

Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation has some sponsors and will continue to grow with more support and continue to move forward and be as great as it can be it does need help.

 “Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation”

Friendly Faces Helping Hands  Foundation is a website designed to support people seeking amenities close to hospitals. It offers essential information for people from rural and regional Australia, who often struggle to find services in unfamiliar cities. The site and accompanying phone support provide information about the range of services surrounding all metropolitan  hospitals, easing the burden on families when having to access medical services away from home.  I am inviting you to sponsor or advertise your business on the site.

This initiative offers you a chance to be part of something truly special. Your help could mean the difference between a mum or dad coping or succumbing to the heart-breaking situation they are facing. The website has been endorsed by NSW Member for Barwon Kevin Humphries and has received widespread positive feedback through the media - television, radio and newspaper.   This site will change lives.

I encourage you to take up this rare opportunity. Together, we can ease the struggle for those confronting health problems.  I welcome your support and would be happy to discuss with you ways I might promote your business for your generosity in helping Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation help others.
