Hawkesbury Kelpies donates pup to help out Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation

HE’S just a friendly little Kelpie pup with lovely brown eyes, but he is set to make a huge difference.
Twelve-week-old Hawkesbury Finley is already showing interest in sheep, and according to Kelpie breeders Anthony Attard and Jenny Sant, he is a very special pup.

The couple from Hawkesbury Working Kelpie Stud, Prunevale, are donating Finley to be auctioned at the Sydney Royal Show to raise funds for Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation.

Amazingly Kel Foran is one of 250 women across NSW nominated for the 2016 Women of the Year Awards. Kel was nominated in the category of ‘2016 Rex Airlines Regional Woman of the Year’ and is one of four finalists in this category!!


Kelly created Friendly Faces, Helping Hands following the diagnosis of her own brain tumour and a then her son also was diagnosed. Friendly Faces, Helping Hands is a charity that assists regional families to access health services and provides support to families in hospital. Despite much adversity in Kelly’s life, she has used her experiences to empower not only herself but her local community. Kelly embodies the essence of community spirit and kindness. Through her work she is known for her constant display of dedication offering support to regional families who need to travel for treatment and health care. Kelly has a positive effect on the lives of thousands of people in regional NSW. One of her biggest achievements is her commitment to helping others, selflessly inspiring and providing much needed support.

Friendly Faces with the help of Healthwise New England North West, Hunter New EnglandHealth, Narrabri RSL and the support of the Landmark Killarney Bike Classic friendly Faces helping hand will be having a Narrabri Go Red Day at the Narrabri RSL club Friday 16th October 2015 9.30am to 2.30pm   RSVP 9th October  Free morning tea and lunch lot of fun and listen to inspiring speakers.

Royal Far West inspired business leaders

On Friday 31 July, Royal Far West in partnership with Auscott, invited ten corporate leaders to a lunch and conversation with Kelly Foran, founder and CEO of the ‘Friendly Faces, Helping Hands Foundation.’

The aim of the event was to raise broader awareness of some of the challenges NSW country families face in accessing the health services they need. It was also an opportunity to bring leaders with an interest in rural business together, to talk about how country communities can be better supported by the business sector.

Many local people will be aware of Kelly Foran amazing story, having been heavily pregnant and diagnosed with a brain tumour she gave to her son born with hyper insulin anaemia, jaundice and a hole in his lung.
