Lismore Base Hospital (LBH)
Lismore Base Hospital is a major public teaching hospital in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, located in the city of Lismore. It has approximately 260 beds, and serves as the primary hospital and recognised trauma centre for the Northern New South Wales Local Health District.
Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral, level 5 base hospital within the Northern New South Wales Health District. Each year, the hospital sees more than 30,000 admissions and performs around 11,000 surgical procedures.

General Visiting Hours:
Women’s Care Unit: 10am to 8pm Rest period 2pm – 4pm. Partners welcome any time.
Children’s Ward: 10am to 8pm – general visitors. Parents welcome at any time.
Intensive Care Unit: All hours (with staff permission). No visitors from 9am to 12midday.
Coronary Care Unit: All hours (with staff permission).
Should your visitors need to visit outside of these hours, please speak to the nursing staff.
An automatic teller machine (ATM), which accepts most cards, is located on Level 4 in the Main Reception area of the hospital.
An internet terminal is located on Level 4 next to the hospital reception counter and can be used for a small fee. This service is provided by an external provider.
