Short term accommodation for patients generally living 100kms from Sydney.

Situated in the grounds of Westmead Hospital, Casuarina Lodge provides short term accommodation for patients who are receiving treatment from Westmead Hospital, Westmead Children’s Hospital or Westmead Private Hospital, and their families.

Patients must have a confirmed booking for treatment before requesting accommodation at the Lodge. Priority is given to cancer patients and their families but other families can be accommodated if there are rooms available.

Each bedroom has 2 single beds to accommodate a guest and a carer. There is also a chest of drawers, wardrobe, television, small refrigerator, air conditioner and a telephone (guests can receive in-coming calls - please notify reception beforehand. Outgoing calls cannot be made). All linen is provided.

Bathrooms are shared and designed to facilitate guests in wheelchairs. There are extra basins, full laundry facilities and dryers.

The kitchenettes contain a toaster, kettle and electric frying pan. There are no stoves but we have microwaves and a barbecue. Each room has a lockable cupboard in the kitchen.

Westmead railway station is 800 metres from the Lodge. There is also access to buses from the station or across from the hospital on Darcy Road. You can catch a train or a bus to Westfield’s Parramatta, which is located opposite Parramatta railway station. A shuttle bus service also runs to Parramatta every 15 minutes from Hawkesbury Road, Westmead.

The closest parking for Casuarina Lodge is located in the car park next to the building. Access to the car park is via Dragonfly Drive.
