Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA)
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is one of Australia's premier tertiary referral hospitals and is recognised as a world class leader in healthcare excellence and innovation. RPA is part of network of hospitals in the Sydney LHD. It is the principle teaching hospital of the University of Sydney.RPA provides and extensive range of treatment and diagnostic services to more people in NSW than any other public hospital. More than 1,000 patients are treated in RPA every day.
Chapel and Chaplaincy services - The RPAH has a Chapel and all patients, visitors and staff are welcome. A Chaplaincy visit, or other faiths can be arranged.
There are a number of quiet rooms available throughout RPAH on most levels. These rooms are used for quiet medication, reflection, prayer or a place to escape in times of stress to gather your thoughts. Ward staff are able to direct you to hte nearest quiet room and ensure that the room is available.
Visiting hours can vary from ward to ward so it is best to check with each individual ward to find out what visiting hours are. In general, visitors are welcome between 10am and 8pm excluding a rest period in the middle of the day. The intensive care service allows visitors 24 hours a day unless otherwise advised. There are strict visiting hours in the maternity wards of the hospital. Please contact the ward for more information.

Opening Hours
RPA operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Normal business hours is 8.30am - 5pm.
Generally, visitors are welcome between 10am and 8pm daily, excluding a rest period in the middle of the day. The Intensive Care service allows visitors 24 hours per day unless otherwise advised.
ATMs
There is an ATM inside the hospital Foyer (located on level 5 off Missenden Road).
There is an ATM inside the 711 store on Missenden Road, just next to the Corner Cafe.
The Commonwealth Bank (COM), Westpac, Austalia and New Zealand Bank (ANZ) and National Australia Bank (NAB) all have branches on King St, Newtown.
