The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH)

The 800-bed Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) is the state’s flagship hospital, providing a comprehensive range of the most complex clinical care to an estimated 85,000 inpatients and 400,000 outpatients each year.

Structurally, the hospital spans the equivalent of three city blocks and is located on a pristine site containing almost four hectares of landscaped parks and internal green space, including over 70 courtyards, terraces and sky gardens.

The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) provides a comprehensive range of complex care across medical, surgical, emergency, acute mental health, outpatient and diagnostic fields. It also offers a specialist acute spinal and brain injury rehabilitation service.

Opening Hours

Open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Visiting hours are 2.30pm to 8.30pm daily. While some wings have restrictions, visiting hours are negotiable. Please speak with the nursing staff to check the wing's visiting times.

ATMs

ATMs onsite will accommodate customers of Bank SA, ANZ, National Australia, Adelaide Central Credit Union, Adelaide Bank, VISA, Diners Club, and has Cashcard facilities.

Public WiFi

While there is no patient or public Wi-Fi access at the RAH, all bedside devices offer access to various (user pays) entertainment systems including internet access, radio channels, digital Television and a range of movies on demand.
