Picnic Island Playground

Located at the magical green space at the southern end of South Bank Parklands, the Picnic Island playground is suitable for children of all ages and features a spinning saucer, basket swing, cubby house, soft fall mounds and talking tubes. Plus there are the giant figs that are perfect for a game of hide and seek!

And if that's not enough to keep the kids entertained, make sure you do some wildlife spotting – eastern water dragons are often seen in the area and there's a pond nearby filled with lots of colourful native fish.

There are also free barbecue facilities in the area, and the beautiful River Quay is just a stone's throw away, as are the family-friendly restaurants at the Arbour View Cafes.
