Country Care Link
COUNTRY CARE LINK is a free service for country people coming to Sydney for a medical appointment. It is run by Open Support (formerly the Sisters of Charity Outreach). Realising that country people in such a situation often find the prospect of finding their way around Sydney daunting, our volunteer drivers are happy to be of assistance. Our volunteer drivers meet people at the airport or railway and drive them to their appointment or accommodation, and back to catch their transport home.
The service operates 7 days per week to and from Sydney's Central and Strathfield Stations, the Central Station bus terminal and Sydney Airport. The volunteer office workers are in the office from 9am - 4pm. For all bookings call 02 8382 6434 or 1800 806 160 (if possible please give 48 hours notice). Drivers are available any day from 6am to 9pm.
Should any country person be coming to one of Westmead Hospitals, we also offer reasonably priced accommodation at a house several blocks from the hospital campus. Information is included on the Country Care Link Card.
