State Library Cafe

The State Library of New South Wales, part of which is known as the Mitchell Library, is a large heritage-listed special collections, reference and research library open to the public. It is the oldest library in Australia, being the first established in the colony of New South Wales in 1826.

The Library Cafe is a great place to sit, watch the passers-by and enjoy a coffee, cake or sandwich that are delicious and affordable. You need to order at the counter and will then be served at your table. Open seven days a week, the Cafe offers the chance to have a break in the middle of a hectic day and read a book or paper in a stunning location.
