Aboriginal Liaison Officers Nepean Hospital

Aboriginal Hospital liaison Officers (AHLO) provide support to Aboriginal and Torres trait Islander patients and their families. Service includes emotional, social and cultural support, advocacy and liaison with other staff on behalf of patients and families.

The AHLO also provides information about hospital and legal services, patient rights and responsibilities and child protection issues. The AHLO can help families organise financial benefits, accommodation and care at home.
