Canberra Hospital Spiritual Support and Pastoral Care

We respect and recognise your religious traditions or belief system through pastoral care services and other various resources that support your personal and spiritual wellbeing.

Our pastoral care practitioners include staff and trained volunteers who come from a variety of belief groups and religious backgrounds. They are available in person or over the phone during work hours. Designated representatives are on call 24 hours a day.

We also have a ‘General Team’ who relate to people that don’t identify with a specific religion but appreciate visits or are seeking spiritual support.

Bedside communion is available on request.

Our multifaith sacred space is located at Building 2, Level 2 and caters to private prayer and individual or group meditation. It’s also used as a Christian Chapel, Jewish Temple and for daily Muslim prayers.
