LBH Aboriginal Liaison Officers

The Aboriginal Liaison service is located on level 3, Lismore Base Hospital and provides education and support to clients, carers, communities and other organisations.

The service maintains client confidentiality and promotes respect and equality:

* Involves patients and their carers in planning care options to meet their needs.

* Acts as a patient advocate, and advises management of possible adverse patient outcomes as a result of clinical care.

* Anticipates patient/career education programs which are developed and delivered.

* Anticipates client/carer concerns and intervenes early to resolve matters.
