Ronald McDonald Family Room onsite Randwick

The Ronald McDonald Family Room at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick is a sanctuary for parents who have a child being treated at the Hospital. With the convenience and comfort of a home environment, it provides an opportunity for families, no matter where they live, to take a break from the ward, meet and spend time together in a relaxing environment.

The room provides a communal kitchen, dining area, lounge room with television and children’s movies, computer, laundry, bathroom and two bedrooms for day naps. Guests can help themselves to a free cup of coffee or tea as well as make a bite to eat.

All patients must first seek permission from their nurse or Nurse Unit Manager before entering the Family Room. To protect the health and safety of patients and families, we kindly advise that any child or adult who is unwell should not enter the Family Room.

Please note that anyone with signs of illness may be politely asked to leave the Family Room.
