The Carers Program identifies and addresses health inequities experienced by carers and supports services to take a carer-focused approach.
A carer is anyone who provides ongoing unpaid support to family or friends who need help because of disability, chronic, terminal or mental illness, or who are frail aged.
Carers NSW is the peak non-government organisation for carers in NSW and a member of the National Network of Carers Associations. Our focus is on improving the lives of carers. Carers NSW Counselling Support A free, six-week group course facilitated by professionally trained counsellors either in person or over the phone via Talk-link. The sessions run for an hour at the same time each week.
