Westmead Volunteer Services

Our volunteers are here to help make your stay in hospital as comfortable as possible. Daily services available to patients include:

•Ward helpers who care for patients' flowers, wash and dry light garments.

As well as visits if you just want someone to talk to.

•Trolley service provides confectionery, toiletries, etc.

•A library service offers a wide range of books and magazines including large-print books and cassettes.

•A newspaper delivery service is also available upon request and pre-payment.

The gift boutique offers a wide range of baby wear, hand knits, toiletries and giftware. Trading hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm, and two Saturday and Sunday’s per month.

A designated Justice of the Peace is available on Monday mornings in the main foyer from 10am to noon. If a JP is required at other times please contact the Voluntary Services Coordinator on 8890 7361.
