John Hunter Hospital Accommodation

John Hunter Hospital has emergency accommodation available for relatives or patients travelling long distances (greater than 100km).

People using the accommodation need to be ambulant or have a carer with them, as it is approximately 200 meters between the accommodation and the hospital, involving a walk up and down a hill.

Our facilities are intended to be used and respected as a home away from home. Most rooms accommodate two people and there are two family rooms which accommodate up to four people. We also have one disabled room.

These units are for emergency short stay and provide a comfortable environment close by for families of patients requiring treatment at John Hunter Hospital. Please contact: 49213650.

Assistance to find longer stay accommodation can be sought through one of our Social Workers.

Guest have free use of refrigerators, tea / coffee making facilities, cooking facilities (own food provided), lounges and TV facilities, all linen supplied, laundry facilities.
